Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or phone). Related technologies such as localStorage store similar information in your browser. They are commonly used to make websites work, remember preferences, or measure how a site is used.

This Cookie Policy explains how Greek Venues uses — and mostly doesn’t use — cookies and similar technologies at greekvenues.com. Greek Venues is operated by ORTC FZCO, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates, which also operates our sister site italianvenues.com. Where this policy says “we”, “our”, or “us”, it means ORTC FZCO trading as Greek Venues.

2. The short version: no cookies by default

By default, greekvenues.com sets no first-party cookies. You can browse venues, send an enquiry, apply to list a venue, or join our newsletter without any cookie being placed on your device.

We also don’t use advertising cookies, Google Analytics, or social media tracking pixels (no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel). Our spam protection is a hidden “honeypot” field in our forms — a technique that catches automated bots without any CAPTCHA service, cookies, or tracking.

3. Optional analytics (PostHog)

We may enable privacy-focused analytics using PostHog, hosted on servers in the EU and served through our own first-party address (a path on greekvenues.com), not a third-party tracking domain. If analytics is enabled, PostHog stores a small amount of data in cookies and/or your browser’s localStorage to tell returning visitors apart and understand how the site is used — for example, which venue pages people view.

If analytics is not enabled, none of this applies and no analytics data is stored in your browser.

4. Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Vercel, our hosting provider. Like virtually all web hosts, Vercel keeps basic server logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) for security and technical delivery. This is standard infrastructure logging, not cookie-based tracking, but we mention it here for completeness. Vercel’s own privacy policy covers how it handles this data.

5. Third-party services you choose to open

Some links on our site open third-party services. In particular, our WhatsApp contact links open WhatsApp, a service operated by Meta. Once you leave greekvenues.com, that service’s own privacy and cookie practices apply — see WhatsApp’s privacy policy. We don’t embed WhatsApp (or any other third-party tracker) into our own pages, so simply browsing our site does not share anything with Meta.

6. How to control cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data. You can usually find these controls in your browser’s settings under “Privacy”:

Because greekvenues.com doesn’t rely on cookies to function, blocking them won’t break anything here — you’ll still be able to browse every page and use every form.

7. Changes to this policy

If we add a technology that stores data in your browser — for example, if we switch analytics on — we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to check back from time to time.

8. Questions?

If you have any questions about cookies or this policy, message us on WhatsApp (+44 7438 221720) or use the enquiry form on our homepage.
